Kit Club is a conceptual online platform on which football shirt enthusiasts, collectors, and fans can track and compare their collections. Fans are also able to rate kits, find out news and rumours about upcoming kits and interact with others who share their interest.
The purpose for Kit Club is to give me an ongoing project that can be treated as a genuine brief to continue working on and developing, and to have an opportunity to explore design in different aspects with a subject matter I am passionate about and interested in aside from design alone.
The logo uses an abstraction of the initials 'K' and 'C' to create a symmetrical, geometric mark in the shape of a badge. The simplicity of the icon means it is recognisable even when scaled very small, and is synonymous with football badge design in it's shape and content.
The elements of the logo can be restructured and used alone dependent on the situation - the wordmark is ideal for small, narrow applications while the icon creates a recognisable symbol in tight spaces. The logo is malleable and functional in any scenario.
The bold, geometric typeface 'Neue Einstellung' boasts soft edges to pair well with the rounded corners of the icon. The shades of blue-grey contrast well with the yellow accent colour, as well as the numerous secondary colours. it was important to have a wide range of colours in the guidelines to convey the colourful world of football kits and their design.
